A module to displaying a syndicated feed using Mootools library
If you follow regularly the Joomla’s releases of plugins and modules then you understand me if I tell you that this module is a kind of mixture between the Joomla’s feed module and the RoklatestNews module. In other words: this module allows the displaying of a syndicated feed using Mootools library (the accordion effect, in fact).
As I am more fan of the jQuery library, it is possible that some jQuery version of this module will go after the current one.
You can use it with native Joomla 1.5.x or Joomla 1.0.x in legacy mode.
The main core of this module is the Joomla! Framework Factory class. As you can read in the Joomla Documentation, it facilitates lazy loading, which means that instead of manually including the appropriate library file for a given class, a call to the designated JFactory class method will automatically load the correct library and return an instance of an object of the appropriate type. Here I used its getXMLParser method, that gets an XML document parser (RSS/Atom/DOM).
The library that this method loads is the well known SimplePie; my favourite PHP-based RSS and Atom feed handler, indeed.

This Module is really great, thank you for making it public to everybody. I’ve got a little question related to the module. When i publish a feed theres always a problem with the character encoding. I’m from germany and the special characters like ü,ö,ä…and so on get replaced by a questionmark…any suggestions?

Well, I see that the feeding of your site looks fine, and see that probably you found the solution I had in mind (to add the utf-8 charset to the http-equiv metatag).

Lastima que noinstala en Joomla 1.0.15, n habra de solucionar eso?
